laceblade: Cardcaptor Sakura, smiling at viewer, surrounded by pink. Text: RESOLUTION (CCS: Resolution)
I've been sickly the past few days, and unable to concentrate my eyes on screens/books for very long. (Lots of books/etc. got cleaned, haha.)

These series were perfect for me, because each episode is only about 3.5 minutes. Both series are ongoing in Japan right now. (I'm watching them via my Crunchyroll subscription.)

Mangirl!, ep. 1-10
This series is not about gender, nor is it about a creepy relationship between a man & a girl.
INSTEAD, it's a mash-up of the words "manga" & "girl."

Based on a four-panel manga strip, this series follows 4 girls with 0 experience who decide to create their own manga magazine. Sometimes frenetic, this series tries to pack a lot into 3.5 minutes! It's a little eye-rolly, & reminds me of Lucky Star. At 3.5 minutes, though, it doesn't annoy me enough to stop watching, hohoho.

Encouragement of Climb, ep. 1-10
The literal title is, "Recommendation of Mountaineering," which makes a bit more sense to me.
I like this series a lot more than Mangirl! Aoi is the protag. She's shy & likes indoor activities. She's serendipitously reunited with her childhood friend Hinata, who still likes climbing mountains like they did when they were little. Aoi & Hinata basically form a friendship while sharing a mountaineering as a hobby. They make new friends & find mentors while finding new mountains to climb. It's so cute!

I identify with Aoi, who's very leery of outdoor activities, but generally finds that things are not as bad as she'd feared once she's actually outside & walking around.
