Has anyone read any of the manga called Ooku, by Fumi Yoshinaga?

We have volume one here at the bookstore, and it sounds interesting, based on the description:

In Edo period Japan, a strange new disease called the Red Pox has begun to prey on the country's men. WAIT, I just realized that this was the manga-ka who did Antique Bakery. SQUEEEEEE!!
