I wrote the dream deal last night before going to sleep and I wrote the stuff that comes after just now. This goes right in order of the story...takes place the same night Timria and Lanif were working on their science project. I haven't had time to look this over, so please excuse crap. Well, all of it's crap, but you know. ^_~
It was dark outside, and because of the city lights, all Timria could see shining was the moon. Shivering slightly, she pulled her shade down and slid into bed.
Lanif was a nice guy....she couldn't remember the last time anyone bothered to pay attention to her. And the kiss he had placed on her cheek was sweet....Timria unconsciously smiled and drifited off to sleep.
There's blood, everywhere. Red, seeping, spreading, everywhere at once. It won't go away. Nothing will make it go away. I can't get off...I can't get it off!
A dark figure staggers forward, holding his face in his hands. He falls to his knees and then everything tilts. The red seeps to purple, and then everything is black and still. There is a silence, and time is suspended. Then, there's an explosion of light and stars glitter and shower down.
"The darkness is coming, Timria. Sickness and death and despair will soon be all you know. But fear not; the light of hope can shine anywhere." At this the stars shimmered, though they were falling very slowly.
"...Who are you? Tell me more, what's going to happen to me?"
"Timria.....Tim.....ria...."
"Come back! Please!"
"Follow truth, Timria, and you will bring light."
Timria's whole body flinched, and her eyes snapped open. She blinked, and then dream replayed itself in flashes and bits....utter darkness and shimmering stars....a blood-soaked world, and that voice...the words....
Timria slid out of bed and put her slippers on. Walking softly, she went to the kitchen and got herself a glass of water. She leaned against the counter and sipped slowly, thinking about her strange dream at the same time.
Jonathan Cyrim entered the room, looking more worn than usual. Timria glanced at him, and stared at her water between sips. Timria's father reached over her to get a cup out of the cupboard, and his arm brushed her as he lowered it.
Red, seeping, spreading, everywhere at once. It won't go away. Nothing will make it go away. I can't get off...I can't get it off!
Timria recoiled and her glass slipped from her hand. It shattered all over the floor. Jonathan gave her a withering look. He turned and went back to his study, offering not a single word nor any help to his daughter, who stood staring at the broken shards.
Timria scooped to pick up the broken pieces of glass. She grabbed the largest one first, but gripped it too hard. The sharp edge slit her palm open and the blood beaded out.
Red, seeping, spreading....
Timria shook herself and threw the glass away. Tired as she was, once she got back into bed, she couldn't sleep. She kept seeing flashes of blood, darkness, and light.
