WisCon 34

WisCon Programming Sign-Ups are open!

And new this year, you can indicate, "I would like to attend this panel." It will let schedulers know which rooms to use.

Go here to sign up.

My goal this year is to sign up for anime/manga panels. They never make it into the program! I will get over my fear and be on a panel! Just don't laugh at me if it happens!

I'll be making an "OMG Help The Gathering!" call some time this weekend.....so far there are only 5 activities, ;_; I feel like a bad coordinator.

OOOOH MIMOSAS.

I think Jackie would be awesome on a panel!

I still have this fear that I will not be able to go to WisCon, b/c if I don't get my EU passport back in time from mailing it off to get Phredd's shit in order, I would be too scared to fly in & out on my US passport--which has nothing in it to persuade them to let me in the country for a long period of time. ;_;

Jackie would be awesome at most anything she set her mind to, i think. ;)

Still crossing my fingers that nothing fucks up your WisCon travel!! It's interesting that travelling in/out of the US on your US passport makes you hesitate -- i have a coworker with triple citizenship* and she's said she usually travels in/out of the US on her US passport.

Yeah, I travel INTO the US on my US passport but INTO the EU on my EU passport. On my US passport, w/o any visa or anything in it, the longest I would have the right to stay is 6 months on a tourist visa. And then I'd be in the UK system as having arrived & needing to depart by then. I could presumably sort it all out by showing my EU passport at some point, but it's the sort of thing I don't want to fuck around w/& that has the potential to become a much bigger deal than it ought to.

Ah, i didn't get from your original comment that you were worried about the getting back into the UK part of the trip.

[kicks UK bureaucracy to make them go faster]
