I mean, it could be other people's THING. idk. But in my opinion, the writing is TERRIBLE. Or maybe the acting. Maybe both. SOMETHING MAKES IT TERRIBLE.
I suck at local elections! I have no idea who I'm voting for, or if I'm even voting - I'm meeting a high school friend for drinks after work, lol. If work is really slow today, I'll attempt to research and then figure out where to cast my vote. What do we have, just school board?
It's weird that the acting sucks, because the show even has Real Actors(tm) in it, like Anjelica Huston. She's why I considered watching the show.
Maybe it got renewed because it's about stage shows and not TV? Because that Aaron Sorkin series about the SNL-type show was pretty good but got cancelled anyway. Or maybe it's just about the audience it's attracting?
