I hated Pete at first, but he's really grown on me, to the point where he has become one of my favorites as of this premiere. I doubt he will ever replace Joan or Peggy (or Sally Draper) as first in my heart, but I love how his character has developed over time.
I am completely behind on Mad Men - I'm currently watching season 3, but I adore Pete. He is so delightfully mean and oblivious to the concept of politeness.
