Can we talk about how great Nicola Griffith is?? I liked Ammonite, and now I've read The Blue Place and it's like someone crawled inside my id and made THE BEST BOOK EVER?!

SHE IS GREAT! I really enjoyed The Blue Place though I never made it to the sequels.

Oh, man! I'm so excited for the sequels! I'm trying to get through Sherwood Smith's Inda before my surgery (because it's so heavy, lol), but I plan to read them immediately afterward...if I can wait that long, bwahaha.

I don't even know if I have an icon that conveys the awesomeness of Aud! MAYBE SAILOR URANUS COMES CLOSE.

The sequels are just as good! She's a wonderful narrator — I wish those books existed on audio. Which reminds me, audio books are just the ticket for post-surgical lifting restrictions.

Have you read Butler's two Parable novels? They're available in audio, and beautifully narrated by Lynn Thigpen (yes you remember her from Sesame Street or The District).

Ooooh, good idea. People keep raving about Kushner's audio version of Swordspoint, and since I haven't read all the way through it yet, that sounds awesome to me.

I haven't Parables yet, although I think I own the first one in lightweight paperback. Good to know! I should figure out how to download audio books from the library, ;_;
