Is the plot of Crisis Core supposed to make sense?


I mean, with all the cameos, I really don't care, but at least if I know it doesn't make sense I can stop trying to pay attention to this Angeal and Genesis crap.

Not having played through Crisis Core myself, I have heard from friends that the Genesis plot doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

That said, I also have friends who swear by it. So. Um. It swings both ways? XD

Well, I assume that the compilation's purpose is to "complete" the story of the original game, so.. yes?
