So, I felt compelled to write in here, although I'm not entirely sure why. You all should be excited - this is like a journal entry, despite this not being my journal. I'm at my sister's house right now. But everybody's crabby, so I'm hiding down here even though it's incredibly cold.

Have any of you ever read the book Fight Club? Because I like the movie a lot, and I just read the first 22 pages in the library while I was between shifts at work, and it's quite good.

Also, does anybody know of any good online communities that have minimal teenyboppers who take pride in typing like morons? Because I need to find myself one of those. I've been saying that ever since WOFS died, and I have yet to find one.

Oooh, I know what I can tell you all. I had orientation/registration at my college a couple weeks ago, and I know what classes I'm going to be taking. I don't know what I'm going to major in yet, so I've signed up for classes in English, Spanish, and political science. Anyway, here's what I'm taking:
Spanish 204 - pretty self-explanatory. I'm mostly taking it for retro-credits, and if I enjoy it, I'll continue with Spanish because being bilingual would be useful in any job.

Western Culture: Literature and the Arts - Also pretty self-explanatory. We get to discuss cool stuff like Homer and Dante and Virgil.

Intro to Global Cultures - a humanities course focusing on various people and how they live.

Intro to International Relations - political science course

So, yeah, those are my classes. 4 classes, 14 credits (they recommend 12-15 for first-semester freshmen) I'm hoping to figure out what I want to major in soon, because with all my college credits that I got in high school (I really need an A or B in my college Spanish course to get retro-credits), it's very possible for me to graduate in less than 4 years. This would be awesome, and I think my parents would be happier.

I'm excited and a little scared for college. I'm just hoping I'll find a group of people I can fit in with well. My earliest class is at 8:50, but that's only two days out of the week, and on Friday, all I have is Spanish from 12:05-12:55. One thing that does really suck is that I'm going to have an exam on December 23. Christmas break is apparently a lot shorter than usual this year, which sucks. But, oh well, I guess. I wrote a lot more than I intended to, so I'm done for now.

a neat forum I've been at recently is Bright Shiny Thing (http://www.nettness.net/brightshiny)... It sounds bad, I know;P But mostly they aren't teeny boppers.. just crazy people.

Most of the people there are dollers, but the girl that owns it doesn't really doll anymore, so they keep stressing it *isn't* a dolling forum.

so yeah, mostly just crazy folk. *Shrugs*

Thank you. I'll definitely check it out, but a friend of mine also sent me an invitation to orkut (orkut.com), which I'm looking into as well.
