Sometimes people's use of the Internet makes me concerned for them

And sometimes, the comments make no fucking sense. [Read the one by "Smokers Anonymous."]

Apparently I'm worthy of the caliber of text used in creepy religious brochures. WHERE DO THESE PEOPLE COME FROM?

I think you have a troll! Congratulations!

AHAHAHAAHAHAAHAH = Sometimes people's use of the Internet makes me concerned for them. You're amazing.

It seems as though the priests and some of the commenters come from old-school churches, where parishoners receive wisdom from the priests (and accordingly suck up to the priests a bit). You're clearly newer-school, acting pesky by daring to ask questions (how very socratic of you!) with actual substance and not just seeking further elucidation.

So glad you have other churches that you can attend.

p.s. - and that non-smoking person is one of the most annoying types, the kind who see nonbelievers seeking the word of GOD everywhere and in everything. (Like Elvis, only . . different.)

That what sucks about it, though! Nativity used to be the liberal church in GB! It's really upsetting to me that it's changed so much now.

It is annoying! And it's more annoying still that this guy equates disagreement/discussion with non-believing. Like, does he really think that a non-believer would argue the way that I do (sometimes using Church law to back myself up!) or take the time and energy that I do?? WTF.

I especially liked his drive-by knock on homosexuality. Don't cross your wires! Or... something.

Also, and this may be my non-Catholicism showing through, but the idea of someone that is forbidden from engaging in a healthy sexual relationship with anyone being qualified to give marriage advice makes no sense to me.

I love the way you handle yourself over there in those comments. :)
