Interview Dealie
School starts tomorrow, ;_; Anyway, this is an interview thing that I got from Tigrin. I answer these questions she asked me, and then if you want to be "interviewed", leave a comment and I'll ask you five questions you can answer in your LJ.
1. How strong do you consider your religious faith and to what extent would you go to defend it?
I'm pretty strong in my faith, but I feel like I could go a lot deeper with it. For example, I don't really pray a lot, only when I pray for a friend who needs it or if I feel like I'm slipping. I would gladly give my life for my faith, or for someone else.
2. If you could change one thing about the way the world is, would you, and what would it be?
Yes. I would make it so that there's no more money. If people worked hard to benefit the welfare of themselves and other people rather than so that they can buy a bunch of shit they don't need, I think the world would be a better place. Obviously, that's not possible. If I couldn't make it so there was no money, I'd try to give everyone a deeper sense of compassion so that people would not cause each other so much pain. It's really disgusting, sometimes.
3. Do you believe your life has a greater purpose? Even if you're not sure, what do you think it could be?
Life is just....existence. I don't believe there is one all-encompassing purpose to life. How could there be? Your life will have a purpose if you get one, but you won't get one if you spend all your time trying to find it.
4. Is there anywhere you've felt you've really fit in, or a certain person you've felt really understood you?
Fit in? Hmm. I feel like I fit in when I'm at youth liturgy planning or The Quest (youth group) at church. I also feel like I 'fit in' when I'm stage-managing. I feel like I'm needed when I'm stage-managing, I guess. I felt Kristy and Chad understood me when they were my best friends. Charley understands me, I think. We have a weird...understanding of each other like that. Andy also understands me...I think.
5. Have you ever truly hated someone?
There have been instances when I get mad at someone that I've felt flares of pure hate. I don't get mad very often - it takes a lot to light my fuse. But if it somehow gets lit, I get very, very pissed off. My emotions are very....vivid, I think is the word. But other than that, no. I think it's a waste of time and energy to spend your time hating someone.
