30 Rock

So I was able to borrow the first two seasons of 30 Rock from my sister, and they've been okay.

I would like to BE Tina Fey.

Alec Baldwin is surprisingly hilarious, and I kind of like the sexual tension between him and Lemon all season.

Also.....WTF Tracy Morgan is just like Tracy Jordan in real life! From Wikipedia: In 1996, he was diagnosed with diabetes, but refused to take medication or change his diet. After running a 104-degrees fever on the set of 30 Rock, Morgan decided to finally comply with his doctor's orders. He is now very cautious when it comes to the condition.

What I like probably most of all are all of the Star Wars references - seriously, there must be at least one every other episode!

Favorite reference/line of Season One: "I will cut you like a tauntaun."

Overall, I like it enough to watch all of it, but I like How I Met Your Mother more.

I found that I felt iffy on it until toward the end of the first season. I felt it took it's time about settling in, and also that it grows on you. Now I <# it. ;)

I also love the fact that it is a festival of dork-references. And that a lot of the time, characters say the most idiotic thing possible, and yet it somehow makes sense.

Now I want to start re-watching it. ;P

I felt *exactly* the same way about wanting to be Tina Fey. I had a mild obsession with her for a while lol

Like I've said before though, I feel like things have changed a little since the first season and now it's more of a circus for chaos that sometimes crosses the line of delicacy to create confusing messages with its satire. I still like it though and insist on watching even though it's become more spastic than intelligent. And for someone who's not a huge Baldwin fan, I like Alec's portrayal of Jack. I even like Tracey Jordan, though Tracey Morgan is not high on my list. Something about that personality in the real world is just too much, I can't stand him in interviews and I don't think he's funny at all.

I've grown to really, really like 30 Rock. When they get a joke right, they just kill. There have been several episodes this season that just left me in hysterics. I'm not a big Baldwin fan, but he and Fey are great together.

The Star Wars references are my favorite, too. "Oh, you'll be fine... Captain Needa." "No, Needa dies. He dies!" She looked so horrified.

I KNOW!

Okay I was totally arguing with a geek about that, too. He was like, "There is no one named Captain Needa in Star Wars."
I was all, "Bitch please! There is totally a Captain Needa! He was even referenced in 30 Rock!"
"Oh right, like Tina Fey knows anything about Star Wars."
"OH NO YOU DIDN'T."

Needless to say, I Wookiepedia'ed that shit, and the geek was pwned.
