I am behind in responding to comments, etc.

I've been reading all kinds of commentaries on the season finale of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and have added ones I like to my memories. My most recent favorite is here, by [livejournal.com profile] coffeeandink. I corrupted my boyfriend with this show! He watched the entirety of season 2 in the last week! Unfortunately, Ausiello reports that it won't be renewed for a third season. Ausiello is a pretty solid source, so far as TV news goes, but this is pretty disheartening. A lot of press coverage keeps focusing on Summer Glau, too. Yeah, she was fantastic in Terminator, but I'm just as ready to follow the careers of just about every other actor on the show, Dekker and Headey especially.

[livejournal.com profile] wrdnrd is still accepting submissions for a zine on class here.

As for this Dreamwidth business.....I am very grumpy about all of this moving nonsense! I just settled down here and am already cross-posting on Blogspot! (Technically, cross-posting from Blogspot to LiveJournal). I guess I should register with an OpenID account (I don't have an OpenID account?!) so that I'm entered in the lottery, as I seem to keep missing my chances when friends post with, "I have an invite code! Post here!"
I do not use LiveJournal at work! :[

I registered for a Delicious account so that I can help out with a collaborative project, but I don't really understand it yet. Am I just supposed to bookmark websites I frequent on a relatively frequent basis? It's not supposed to be used for articles I read an enjoy (like Digg), is it? I figured out how to embed it in my browser, and that's about it.

Your livejournal account functions as an OpenID account. :)

Log in to LJ first. Then log into DW as an Open ID account; LJ will ask you to confirm it.

Once you've set up your Open ID account, I think you'll automatically get an invite code on April 30th. Of course, I can't find that info right now, but that's what I remember from poking around a lot this afternoon. (Someone gave me an invite code, yay.)

I have a Delicious account; though I don't use it a whole lot, I do think it's a good tool and have been meaning to use it more. You can add people to your network and check out their link sets, and tag things, and bookmark pretty much anything. Check out mine if you like!

Looking at it now, though, I wish it were prettier. Like I could put a skin on it (ie Gmail) or a theme (ie LJ). I think it's an unattractive website!

I use it as a way to save bookmarks so that I can find them anywhere, any time I'm online. It wasn't until fairly recently (last year?) that I found out that some folks use the linkage to find good sites. Putting the "networking" in front of the "social", I think.

Ausiello is NOT a reliable source for information. He is only a reliable source for riling people up.

I am in the CSI fandom and he has spouted all kinds of untrue bullshit about CSI over the years because he knew fans would get angry.

I would suggest that fans mount a campaign to save it ASAP. It worked for Jericho. It worked for having a good resolution to the Grissom/Sara romance arc on CSI.

Good to know! I guess I used to find Grey's Anatomy stuff there, and it usually ended up being true.

Fans have an LJ community, as well as a major website, and have posting and sending letters and e-mails and etc.

Part of me is pretty resigned, though, because it just seems that the ratings were simply not high enough. Many people feel that fans were lucky to get the entirety of season 2 to play on TV. :(

Letters are a start. The Jericho folks sent peanuts in pallet sized portions...wait I looked it up...14,000 pounds of nuts. Yes, they did. It worked.

CSI fans funded flyovers near the studios, sent loads of balloons with the message "don't burst our bubble," and sent money ($1 bills) that was donated to charity in the end.

EDIT: Um, make that 40,000 pounds of nuts. Wow.

Thanks for the link! I've been a little ... sluggish about getting the word out, so i appreciate all the help i can get.

I really probably should post to the Wiscon community. God, so much to do. Some day when i have my own publishing empire i will have eager little interns to do this shit for me. BWAHAHAHAHA!

I saw that rumour about SCC too. :(

Have you seen [livejournal.com profile] selenak's meta (http://selenak.livejournal.com/472664.html)? It's awesome.

I got my invite code because I won the OpenID lottery. Go nab one so that you can reserve your desired username, even if you aren't going to be active right away.

Hello, you don't know me! I'm a friend of [livejournal.com profile] taeli and she's pointed me to posts of yours so many times and I've enjoyed them so many times that I've decided to just go ahead and friend you for myself! I especially dig the Dollhouse and T:TSCC posts, and most especially the racefail09 stuff. I don't expect a friend-back, but just wanted to let you know who I am and what I'm doing here if I start commenting on stuff. :)
