I'm surprised I actually had time to write something. Home on a Saturday night...I should probably be doing homework, but I don't really care. Maybe I will later. Anyway. I don't really know what brought this poem on. Just 'in a mood', and started writing. So. Feel free to leave a comment. Or title suggestions, because I'm really bad at those.

Pick a rose for me
A red one
Red like the life flowing from my wounds

Shed some tears for me
Not because of guilt
but maybe because you hurt yourself, too

Bleed for me
inside your heart.
Because if no one else can see it,
maybe that will make it real

Cast a shadow for me
with your light.
Mine seems dim lately

Hold me close, now
Breathe on my neck
and whisper in my ear
and make me feel safe

Cut me, one more time
so that I know I'm alive
Abandon me, recoil at my weakness

Look at me
Look at my tears and my blood, coursing together
And think again before you ask for forgiveness.
