I finished season two.
I figured the Casablancas brothers were somehow involved because they were in the title credits, although so was last year's Journalism teacher. Still, did not see Beaver coming as the rapist/murder/etc. Loved the actor in his scene, though. "My name is CASSIDY." Poor Logan, not even being able to give him a reason to live.
I never believed that Keith was dead, but Kristen Bell really sold it in that scene. I really thought that she was going to shoot Beaver, and of course my love for Logan increased three-fold because he was able to talk her out of it, even though the way he looked at Beaver when Veronica cried, "You raped me!" had 'I want to fucking kill you' written all over it.
Sheriff Lamb must be dead, right? And how fitting, it being by his own lack of action. Had he investigated Veronica's rape, or Keith/Veronica's leads on Woody, he wouldn't have been on the plane at that time. I get that the actor is cute and sometimes funny, but looking at the way he acts and how it affects Neptune, dude is a jackass, and not in an endearing way (LIKE LOGAN).
LOVED Duncan hiring a hit-man to take out Aaron Echolls.
I LOVED VERONICA AND LOGAN'S ANTI-PROM PROFESSIONS OF LOVE. Of course Logan was drunk during his confession! But watching Veronica's face was just....the sweetest thing ever. And, of course, Logan's face of horror and remorse the next morning. I love Logan in every season. Maybe it's just me being a fangirl, but I really think that Dohring steals every scene he's in. Every little thing he does - from the way he looks at Veronica, to the way he interacts with Wallace or Dick or Aaron - is extremely detailed and appropriate. He is a very flawed and layered character, and I love him for it.
I think my favorite part was Veronica waking up to the smell of bacon, and yelling, "Dad!" and finding Logan. I know that the Keith/Veronica relationship is central to the series, but part of me wants a very damaged Veronica and a very damaged Logan living together in Veronica's house. OMF EMO FTW.
Is there anything that I didn't love? The Jackie/Wallace relationship was wrapped up a little too neatly for me. Jackie's too sweet, and her harboring a secret doesn't do it for me. I need more angst. I want to see damaged home-life!Wallace. His mom was at his graduation ceremony, but he must still hate her, a lot.
Weevil needs to be rescued from prison. OMF, I hope that Veronica AND Logan team up to get him out!
I loved everyone cheering for Veronica, and her shock. I loved Clemmons letting her know that he, too, would miss her.
Poor Mac, :/ As improbable as it is for everyone to stick around after graduating high school, I'm willing to hand-wave in order to see them. Veronica finding her on the floor of the hotel room was the saddest thing ever. Now everyone can have trust issues! Yay!
What has Kendall been up to?! Don't think I didn't notice that "For Rent" sign across from Mars Investigations, Rob Thomas. Maybe she'll go into some kind of business, and tempt Mr. Mars.
Overall, watching so much Veronica Mars is reminding me of all the assholes I went to high school with. Watching Logan Echolls is bad for me. It reminds me of admiring cute boys who were also assholes, and thinking, "Maybe they'll be nice to me, too, if I wasn't so weird/if I was more pretty/etc." Because when they're nice to other people, you so want to be one of them. Until they do something assholish, and you remember that your friends are much, much cooler.
Still, I do remember with a lot of satisfaction, sitting in my car behind the car of the son of the village president, waiting to get out of the school parking lot. He had cut me off, so I literally held my car horn down for three minutes straight. He kept turning around and spreading his arms like, "WHAT?" and flipping me off, but I just smiled and twiddled my fingers at him. I'm sure there are many other situations in which I acted like a bitch, but I conveniently can't remember them right now.
Shit, yo. There are 3 copies of each season 3 DVD at the library, but it seems like there are 8-10 holds on each one.I guess I'll watch them on Hulu? Anti-pwn! Hulu doesn't have VM, :[

I don't know where you'd watch VM online, though. You could maybe try Fancast (http://www.fancast.com/)?

I can see how Beaver-as-the-reveal would make some people be like, "eh." I agree that it definitely didn't have the sucker-punch that season one did. Mostly, I'm a sucker for drama, and there was plenty of that. :D

I always hated Jackie.
I agree that Dohring stole the show. A lot of it was in the writing though, he's a well-structured, deep character.
I need to watch that series again. Maybe after I've finished 'Psych'.
