Hola
Frickin' a, I'm tired. On the bright side, I'm going home this weekend. My grades are not exactly where I'd like them to be, but unlike last semester, at least I'm not getting any Cs! Hopefully, that will last. The application for the Journalism school is due the week after Thanksgiving - along with two papers, one of which will be 7 pages. :O On top of this, I've decided to do NanoWrimo.
I've just realized that I've been neglecting to post things in here, so I will update you now on the story so far. If you want to leave comments like "Hey, cool!" or "I think it would be really cool if your characters did _____," then go for it. But if you have constructive criticism, I'd love to hear it...AFTER NOVEMBER. If you come across a horrible sentence, please be aware that I am fully aware of the suckage. I've put a lot of adverbs in and expanded contractions to make word count. I think everyone on my friends list is well aware of my lack of self confidence (rightly so, I believe, as I really am nowhere near where I'd like to be) when it comes to my writing. The goal of this NanoWrimo thing is to write. I will tear it apart and cut out the bad writing after November. But for now, the goal is to write.
That said, this is what I have so far.
Post one is 480 words.
Post two is 826 words.
Post three is 1,741 words.
Which means that the current total is 3,506. Hopefully I can keep up with this stride. Really, though, any random ideas would be cool - should they encounter real ghosts? The story is grounded in reality, obviously, but I'd like to do sadistically creepy things to my characters.
The official blog I've made for the story can be found here. It includes basically everything I've already put here, including a character list. The blog is updated as soon as I'm done writing for the night. Should I do the same here? (As in, actually copy and past the entries, and put them in with a lj-cut?)
