I've started some of these games before, but the thing that binds them all together is that I've never beat any of them.

Now for comments on a bunch of other games! Skipping stuff I don't know

FFIII - Said my piece on twitter. Interesting game at times, but significantly old school and grindy.

FFIV - LOVE. IT. Love it so much.

Chrono Trigger - Covered earlier here.

Okami - Fun as heck and very pretty, but come on US manual, stop claiming that maybe in this Amatersu could be a dude.

Muramasa - I had a lot of fun with this once I got the rhythm of combat down. Has the usual Vanillaware art issues.

FFX - I bounced off this one pretty hard. I can see some interesting stuff in there, but there was too much that just didn't do it for me.

FFXII - Please don't replay this until I have free time again and we can do a play though together. Really enjoyed it, though I did break the game by getting the Zodiac Spear stupid early.

P3 - I miss P4s ability to actually control everyone, but I love the design sensibility of this one. Also has that nice bonus dungeon to power level at the end.

But seriously I might WANT the Zodiac Spear stupid early - I just remember the ENDLESS Sandsea dungeon from my last playthrough, & curl my lips at the thought of doing it again. HOWEVER, even though I know my "current" game is close-ish to the end, it's been so long that I think I'd want to replay all of it.

Oh, I think the spear should be got as early as possible. It requires such an inane, convoluted process to get it normally, may as well pay Square back for that and bust the game wide open grabbing it ASAP.

Does require some amount of grinding and a good mastery of the specials though.
