If you guys haven't been reading the interviews with J.K. Rowling that are The Leaky Cauldron, you definitely should. Gives you a load of stuff to think about. Of course, only if you've finished Book 6, as they're loaded with spoilers.
Speaking of Book 6, some woman came through my line at ShopKo today and told me that she thought Harry himself might be a horcrux - that would be sickeningly tragic, I think. Holy crap. Not to mention once he killed himself, someone else would have to kill Voldemort.
I still can't figure out why Snape killed Dumbledore. I still refuse to believe that Snape is categorically evil and just decided to sell out Dumbledore. He could have killed Harry countless times over the series of the books, and also during this school year after he'd made the promise. Too much characterization has gone into him to make him purely evil. Maybe Dumbledore was a horcrux, who knows.
I really don't understand how Rowling's going to answer all the unanswered questions in her books....I think I'm going to go and browse her website now. But, seriously. What's up with Snape? If he was really a Death Eater this whole time, then he certainly would have known that it was Peter Pettigrew, and not Sirius Black, who was a Death Eater, and who sold out the Potters.
I'm also interested in what one of the horcruxes is - she said if you carefully reread the books, you'll figure it out. Does she mean Harry?
I did think that there was going to be more information on Lily in this book...Now, the - the important thing about Harry's mother - the really, really significant thing - you're going to find out in two - in two parts. You'll find out a lot more about her in book five, or you'll find out something very significant about her in book five, and you'll find out something incredibly important about her in book seven.
