Yes! More Procrastination!

Stolen from Claudia.

1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?
I graduated from high school and went to college. And I was published in the local newspaper as a freelance writer!

2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't remember what they were, precisely, but I'm sure one of them was to write every day. Yeah, I broke that.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
I don't think so.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
My grandma just died, but we weren't close. And Matt committed suicide....he wasn't close to me, but I'm extremely close to his mother.

5. What countries did you visit?
None!

6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
More time, more passion, more willpower, and an ever bigger aura of coolness.

7. What dates from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
February 1st, when Father Jim told us what had happened with Matt.
June 6th, when I graduated and kissed high school goodbye!
And August 27th, when I moved in to college.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting good grades in high school right up until the end, wrote lots more stuff, started drawing, love my college, have been trying to find my niche here, and seem to have lost crappy-horrible-depression! AND most importantly, deciding to no longer take people's crap. It's very liberating.

9. What was your biggest failure?
I try not to view bad things as failures.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Only colds.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
Probably books. My new purse....and the 100 blank CDs I bought Thanksgiving from Best Buy for $17.98!

12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
My roommate, 'cause she's awesome, and the new friends I've made here because they rock.

13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
Mostly people I know from high school. I'll go with not naming them because I've forgiven them and moved on. Although, some of them still feel the need to be jerks, >O

14. Where did most of your money go?
The bank! For real!

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
FF7 ADVENT CHILDREN, OMG! RotK on DVD....and I guess that whole going-to-college-thing.

16. What song will always remind you of 2004?
Chrno Crusade main theme.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder? Happier, by craploads.
b) thinner or fatter? I think I'm the same
c) richer or poorer? Richer! I WIN!

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Writing!

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Wasting my time worrying over petty little fights, etc.

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
Same as every year. Christmas Eve will be spent at my cousin's house, and we'll open presents from Santa Clause. Christmas Day will be spent at my other cousin's house, with more cousins and children present, and the day after Christmas will probably be spent with even MORE family. We like to build it up, ;)

21. Who did you spend the most time on the phone with?
I talk to my friends online, so probably my mom.

22. Did you fall in love in 2004?
Not that I recall. Thank God.

23. How many one-night stands?

Ooh...*calls up her booklog* Farenheit 451, Sabriel, and the Neon Genesis Evangelion mangas.

A laptop! Bwah....

29. What did you want and not get?
Books, probably.

Harry Potter 3 was a pleasant surprise compared to the first 2...other than that, I can't remember. I liked Love Actually a lot. And the Cowboy Bebop movie.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I was 18. I sat in my school's auditorium for Academic Awards Night and watched everyone else get scholarships. Not that I'm not happy for them, just a sucky way to spend a birthday. But my friend Heather through a huge (we didn't expect half the grade to turn out!), kickass party at her house. Interesting mix of people....church people, Halo whores, the girl-whores, random people from our grade, etc.

My New No-Bullshit Policy (TM).

Music, books, and the internet.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Elijah Wood!

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
The election, abortion, 2 party system (is CRAP! they're so polarized that they don't represent anyone any more!), using depleted uranium and cluster bombs in Iraq, and lots of other things. I'm a political news junkie, ;)

I hate stuff like that. A year is a long time!
