Sketch!

So...I drew this sketch of Timria. And while compared to most of you, it really really sucks, I can definitely seen that I've gotten better than I was a couple months ago. Everyone's got to start somewhere. So, if you'd like to see it, it lies behind the cut. It is not cleaned up because I like it better this way than when I cleaned it. Mostly 'cause I really don't know how to clean sketches so it ends up with me going crazy in Photoshop with white paint.


I'm mostly looking for comments on the upper half. I know the bottom part sucks....I can't draw shoes or feet or hands....and her body's like, backwards. Hehe. And how come scanning things makes them look a lot bigger than I draw them? I don't know. I don't know about this whole drawing thing....writing seems to make so much more sense.

Also, I want to know what the deal is with Full Metal Alchemist. Everyone and their mother watches and loves it all over the internet....but I've caught parts of the first few episodes on Cartoon Network the last couple of weeks, and it looks sucky. Someone care to enlighten me?

But on a cooler note, Samurai Champloo kicks ass. Does anyone know where I can download some torrent files of it that aren't corrupt? I've only seen the first two episodes (and I watched the first one at Anime Club, so I need to download that, too!).

Christmas is almost here, and I'm so excited to be done with these classes! *pumps fist* Sadly, there is a mountain of bullshit looming between me and obscene amounts of free time.

I need to go plot-bunny hunting...the anime club is going to have a fanfiction contest and I'd like to enter. Not sure if they'd accept Final Fantasy 7 fanfiction...not exactly anime, but it's all I've got. Enough babbling!

Except...I still need to make a happy icon.

If you want to scan drawings so they look like draiwngs, I recommend some scanning tutorials. Off the top of my mind, I can think of this one (http://www.evilspacerobot.com/comics/jonnycrossbones/process/01.htm). Follow all the steps from creation to successful scanning. It seems basic, but it helps a whole bunch.

This is awesome, thank you! Maybe I should sketch in pencil instead of pen....it seems easier to clean things up that way, hehe.
