Yo!

Um, so yeah. Yesterday I lamented in my blog about wanting to belong to another forum like WOFS again, and Karin (aka: Kakan) commented that she did as well. And I know a lot of you who happen to be my LJ friends know me from WOFS - I know it's been a while, but I was MK Llama - the one with the avatar of the blue angel.

But the point of this post is to see if there is interest in having a forum again. And not just people who used to be from WOFS - some of you people on my LJ friends list now would be perfect forum members. I know it wouldn't be the same as before, and that's okay. But I miss having people to talk to who understand Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings jokes....And I also miss going to the Art forum and getting all inspired even though I can't draw myself. But mostly I miss talking to people from all over the world - Sweden, England, Canada, and Brazil - and being able to talk to them about anything.

A slight problem is that I haven't the slightest idea of how to make a messageboard, aside from ezboard, and that's not really an option. So....yeah. If you're interested, leave a comment. And if you're really interested and know how to make a messageboard, maybe we should talk? I dunno. But it would be cool if we could do this. And not the forum that Kell made that just randomly disappeared. No false hope - it'll be real, ;D

*shrug* The only boards I know how to mess with are Proboards, which are quite a bit better than ezboard. But still not like phpBB. ...*shrug*

I'm in the process of installing phpBB on another place, so if I manage to do that there, I might be able to do it for us too. Just need a place to keep it...

Yeah, I've been having that feeling too.. I'll check all my usual stuff and think 'ah, time for the other forum' and then it'll hit me, 'oh.. wait.. it doesn't exist anymore.. again.'

I'd volunteer my space.. but my host doesn't allow phpbb because of bugs and stuff, and I have doubts about bandwidth..

Although, we could always try?

Alright, well for sure let me know if you figure out how to do it. So all we need is space, and it sound like Jume's won't work. My own site is hosted in Geocities so obviously I don't have anything to offer...hmm. Don't worry, we'll find web space, ;D

I'm familiar with the installation of phpBB. I could install it for you if you wanted. You'd just need someone willing to give you a database and webspace. Very, very few free webhosts offer databases. But other than that, I could help with the actual creation/instalklation of it.
