Well, I always got where they were both coming from. For Veronica, it was a year of his being the one at the head of the student's treatment of her, including busting her headlights, and the fact that he was always clearly unhinged and and two steps away from losing it. A lot of the things people hold against her (and I never watched S3) I always saw as her reacting to someone she cared about being self-destructive.
