CAN I GO 24 HOURS WITHOUT SOMETHING BREAKING OR BEING SUCKED INTO A VORTEX OF DARKNESS?

Remember that entry I wrote a few hours ago, that was all happy?

Some fucker hit my car today, which was parked on the street (LEGALLY, I MIGHT ADD).

So, bitches, know this: If you ever hit somebody's parked car, YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO LEAVE YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION ON THE WINDSHIELD SO THAT THEY CAN CONTACT YOUR INSURANCE PEOPLE.

SHIT.

have you contacted the police and filed a police report on this? it's best to do, and also take photos of the damage. the police may be able to investigate as a hit and run, especially if other cars in the area were hit or someone knows something and talks.

No, I haven't. My dad told me on Sunday that it was too late to be worth it. Would it still be too late? I dunno, :/

you're going to want some documentation for the insurance company. they police won't do anything, but insurance is going to want some official documentation, proof that you didn't just smack your vehicle into a trash can or wall to dent it.

If I were you, I would fill out a 'request for self report form' at the MPD web site here: http://www.cityofmadison.com/mpd/selfreport.cfm. Copy and paste and save the info somewhere, or print it out, because you'll need to write it on a form that the police send you.
