I'm finishing up on the trade paperbacks of Y now, the series is so good, although the uberfeminazis were a little off-putting... I've read the first 3 books of Ex Machina and I really think you'd like it, it's about this guy who can communicate with and control any machine, and he becomes mayor of New York after his big role in 9/11. It's a pretty good series, although there's something about the art I find a little distracting. And it doesn't have quite so many precious English-majorly moments as Y does.
