Live-Blogging! Heroes: 2.3
It's been a while since I've blogged exclusively about TV (I usually reserve it only for Battlestar Galactica, and it'll be a while before we get more of that!).
After being on a Heroes panel this weekend at Geek.Kon, I'm excited!
So here's my running commentary on tonight's episode. Obviously, spoilers lie behind the cut.
Fact: Mohinder is hotter with sweat.
Why does Peter have to do the job to get the box? He proved last episode that he has superpowers and can totally kick ass.
Could Peter read minds last season, or is this relatively new?
What the hell kind of family crest is that?! It's not very crest-like!
"Somewhere in Mexico," because, you know, they don't have cities with names or anything. God, what laziness.
If Maya and Alejandro get separated every single episode, it's going to get old fast. Please, let her be bad-ass and bust him out of jail!
Has there been a woman on the show yet who's not size 4 or less?
Who's Candice, again? It sounds familiar.
LOL BEYONCE COMIC/AMERICAN EXPRESS COMMERCIAL. That was amazing.
It'd be neat if Noah would say, "CLAIRE, I found your toe in the living room. Care to explain?"
I forgot to mention this at the Geek.Kon panel! Matt/Mohinder SLASH WOULD BE SO CUTE! I love their family unit, with Molly. Their whispered conversations at night in the kitchen! *cackles*
It's interesting that they put Ando back in Tokyo. I wonder why. OMF, secret messages from the past?? SO CUTE. It's kind of weird that Hiro and Kensei keep talking in English, since they're in Japan, and they're both probably more comfortable in Japanese.
*commercial break* Okay....so is DL really dead? Have only main characters who are people of color died so far? Isaac, Simone, and now D.L. And Hiro's father. And Simone's father! What plot-point white people have died so far in the series? I can't think of any.
Claire's new really friend is really pissing me off. WTF, why would she leave class? Claire can be so stupid.
OH MY GOD SO LAME, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
I like how The Company has no name.

Maya was kind of badass talking to the cops, there. I wish her superpower wasn't so gender-stereotyping disturbing.
I remember Candice now. Of course, because she isn't size 4 or less, she creates an illusion so that she is! God, that was a little sickening.
Okay, Claire and her friend make me feel nauseated. Nobody falls in love that fast, especially since he's been so creepy. I think I know what it is. His acting is pretty terrible.
Next week could be cool? I like Molly.

There was a woman who died in S1 who was white, I think. The one who was friends with Mohinder and his dad, but she secretly was a spy or whatever, and she killed herself to keep Sylar from getting her powers....?
Oh, the stereotypes. The Irish mafia... and I'm already sort of tired out by the Maya/Alejandro storyline.

I thought that the labels are based on what the character thinks/knows.
Oh, and I too am becoming more wary of the trends with the characters of color.
I am relieved however that they didn't put David Anders in yellowface.
